A19 is a residential development by áurea. Its location in Coco del Mar, between Omar Park and Panama Bay, northwest of Avenida Cincuentenario, allows for the combination of architectural and urban elements that enable a harmonious development, a concept based on architecture, bioclimatic design, landscaping, and interior design.
A19 implements a multidisciplinary and collaborative design process. Therefore, a conscious and holistic architectural development is conceptualized, considering both the people and their environment, resulting in a project that facilitates the future resident's way of life. Likewise, comfort is one of the objectives that, through architecture, interiors, and landscaping, creates a welcoming ecosystem.
The rigorous selection and diversity of species will promote pollination and contribute to strengthening the local ecosystem. The project will include: a green roof, a recreation area, a vegetated facade, ecological features, a living area, accessibility, water collection and filtration, a water reuse system, and an irrigation system.
With an approximate planting of 500 m² in the public spaces of the project, it is estimated that it will be able to absorb CO2 and that in a period of 10 years it will reach 545 kg.
We have between 20 and 25 trees on the site, which purify the air and provide a pollination point for various species. Pollinators fertilize the plants so they can produce seeds and fruit, thus contributing to biodiversity and the ecosystem.
Sensitive and responsible towards the environment and the conditions it offers, A19 expresses its architecture as a design criterion, incorporating a bioclimatic concept that takes advantage of the environmental factors that affect it and that allow it to provide a comfortable environment.
This concept encompasses the design of every space in the project, its layout, and facade, and incorporates landscaping with native Panamanian plant species. It will feature balconies and sunshades to protect the interior from direct sunlight, reducing the need for air conditioning and other cooling systems, which in turn lowers energy consumption and improves occupant comfort.
The project features ecological gardens that retain and filter water through the use of appropriate equipment and the proposed landscaping. Up to 40% of rainwater can be collected in the area, from the proposed green spaces and permeable surfaces.
A19 is a project designed from the ground floor up to the social area. The first four floors are dedicated to parking, access ramps, and direct connections to the lobby. The apartment tower begins on the fifth floor and is divided into six units. The remaining amenities and services for future A19 residents are located on the top floor. The design of each floor is based on modular and flexible strategies, allowing for the continuity, expansion, and adaptability of interior and exterior spaces according to needs.
The typical floor plan per level offers a variety of additional benefits for residents, from the strategic location of the storage units with easy access, to the apartment design conceived with criteria of flexibility, spaciousness, continuity and extension between the interior and exterior, integrating a large balcony space into the apartment.
